Governor Hogan Visits NewDay USA Headquarters

Fast-growing mortgage lender receives recognition for commitment to veterans.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan on Friday visited the headquarters of NewDay USA, a top ten VA lender, to praise the company for its commitment to hiring veterans and for helping current and former service members achieve the dream of home ownership.

At NewDay USA University, the company’s mortgage training facility, Gov. Hogan presented NewDay USA employees with a citation in honor of their dedication to serving the veteran community.

“I commend the veteran focused commitment demonstrated by NewDay USA – hiring and providing career employment opportunities for veterans, educational scholarships and supporting service projects to benefit our nation’s veteran community,” the governor said. “Your efforts deserve our respect and gratitude.”

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition,” said NewDay USA CEO Rob Posner. “Governor Hogan is a supporter of the veteran community and shares our commitment to ensuring that all veterans can work, raise families and buy the home of their dreams after serving our country.”

NewDay USA is one of the country’s largest originators of VA home loans, which enable veterans and their families to buy a home or get the money they need for peace of mind. Many veterans have experienced credit issues because of their service, NewDay USA is helping veterans build a healthy credit history, placing them on the path to a better quality of life.

“Every day, our team members hear from veterans who have run into obstacle after obstacle while trying to take advantage of the VA home loan benefits they’ve earned,” said U.S. Admiral Tom Lynch, chairman of NewDay USA. Because we take a broader view of a veteran’s ability to qualify, they’re able to receive the VA benefits they’ve earned through their service. The governor’s visit energized our employees and provides confirmation that their service to veterans is making a difference.”

Besides helping veterans achieve homeownership, NewDay USA is known for its fun, high-energy work environment that rewards recent college graduates with a great salary and free, ongoing training. The company was recognized as one of Baltimore’s “Best Places to Work” by the Baltimore Business Journal.
